Used in the rare case where you are splitting a cable from a female jack directly into two female jacks. Normally you split the end of an ethernet cable, so you need a female end on the splitter, and it is into that end that you connect your cable.

Generally there is no room to do this, as the ports tend to be side by side, so splitting one port may block another, but we make this available just in case you do need it.

Normally splits are made using a type 1 splitter.

If you also need a longer ethernet cable, instead of buying a whole new cable you could add an ez-kit extender, then connect another cable that reaches. We recommend you get that extender as part of this order.
